Anti Hook Clubs.

Having trouble with a HOOK ? To help get rid of this destroying shot look for a golf club with the following features:- LARGE HEAD & MORE LOFT

A large head is required along with a generous amount of loft. A large club head has a more forgiving bigger sweetspot helping to correct any off centre hit. The more loft, the higher the ball will fly, more importantly the more loft the greater amount of back spin is created. This will help combat the side spin placed onto the ball during a hooked shot.

LESS FLEX, HIGH KICK SHAFT The hooked golf shot is caused as we know when the club head strikes the ball when in an closed position. The easiest way to get the club head back to the ball in a square position is to employ a golf shaft which will help impede the head from releasing too soon. If the club head is striking the ball in a closed position it is telling you that the shaft has reacted to quickly making the club head go past square. Using a golf shaft with less flex will give the shaft a better chance of keeping up with the hands during the shot. This will minimise the hook. It always helps feel and consistency when playing with a high kick shaft. Try using a high kick shaft, this will give the hands more feel and help clubhead awareness.

THICKER GRIP. The last choice should be the grip, choose a slightly thicker grip, this will encourage the hands not to release. A thicker grip will also slightly stiffen the shaft, all this will help to cure the hook.

TO CURE THE HOOK YOUR CLUBS SHOULD HAVE LARGE HEAD MORE LOFT LESS FLEX HIGH KICK SHAFTS THICKER GRIPS
